Garden of the Gods National Natural Landmark has roughly 19, well maintained, some handicapped accessible, paths. I took a moment and checked out the Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site. There is a main house, a few side houses, a blacksmith, folks tending the garden, sheep, horses, chickens, roosters, and ducks.
As you walk into the area, you will see the American Mother Chapel. Is it very small and quaint. It is there for prayer and meditation. I have to say, the stables, houses and such were nice. My favorite is a small pond. It is pictured below. The ducks paddle around. It is a little piece of heaven on earth. It was so calming there in the trees with the Peak behind it. I could have sat there all day after hiking through the rock formations of Garden of the Gods.
