Main Ingredient Blue Cheese
Cuisine Style Italian
Yield 4 Serving
Preparation Time 10min
Cooking Time Varies depending on the meat
Personal Rating
1 pound Cube Steak, (about 1/2 kilo)
1 tbsp Olive oil
2 cloves Garlic, minced
3 oz Blue Cheese, (80Grams)
2 oz Parmesan cheese
3/4 cup Cream
1 tsp Basil, (can used ground but I would use fresh)
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Ground Pepper
1. Put a bit of oil in a saucepan. Add your garlic until soft. Using a wood spoon, press the garlic on the botton of the pan.
2. Take the Parmesean cheese and melt in a saucepan. Do not burn. Stir often and heat slow. Crumble in the blue cheese, followed by the cream. The amount of the cream may vary depending on how thick you like the sauce. Once all melted, simmer a bit, watch it does not stick.
2. Cook your steak as you wish. Let set for a few minutes when down, cut into strips.
3. Minutes before serving add the basil to your sauce with the salt and pepper. Drizzle sauce over the meat. This would also work with Chicken.

Cube Steak in the USA. Called BBQ Steak here. Usually very thin steak. Very little fat on it. For those of you that know Italian, you know we named the sauce "Fabulous Smelly Topping".
