The Lamson Adventures!!!!
Quarry Pass Trail, Red Rock Open Area

Quarry Pass Trail, Red Rock Open Area, located out on Route 24 at 38.848766 104.881035W is a great hike. Open areas, like this one, are different in Colorado than other states. The hikes are excellent. I would say this hike is as good, or better, than the Garden of the Gods. It seems to only be visited by locals and their dogs.

I use it for training. There are areas to climb on rocks, water areas, and some pretty decent hills. The trails are broken down to loops which are about 2-3 miles. If you are just starting up, or like me, trying to get back to healthy after an injury, this area is well suited for everything.
