The Lamson Adventures!!!!
Palmer Park in Colorado Springs
Palmer Park, 3852.116N 10445.712W, is not the town, it is a park in Colorado Springs. This is another one of those hidden gems. The views from this are outstanding. You can see Pikes Peak and the city. The photo op is great. As you can see, we have a few and I was only there a hour, and in a bit of a hurry. We plan to go back in the winter.

Palmer Park covers about 737 acres, and has a kids' playground, ball fields, some roads and overlooks, picnic areas and a LOT of trails. There are numerous parking areas with hiking trails leading off in various directions. This is a great place for hiking. However, trust me when I say it's easy to lose track of where you parked, and how to get back to your car. The hilly topography, trees and the numerous unmarked trails, make this an ideal place to use a GPS if you have one. If you do go during the winter, bring a pole. There are some areas that get slick.
